Fusing vintage style with modern build quality, this fountain pen is a true original. Its elegant design was inspired by Kaweco pens of the 1950s, but its sturdy aluminum construction and scratch-resistant anodized finish are thoroughly contemporary. While the basic shape was based on writing instruments from the late 50s, the octagonal shape breathes the typical Kaweco product DNA into the original. Especially the handle makes the writing instrument clearly recognizable, as it is convex shaped in contrast to other Kaweco series. The Original comes in two sizes: one built around the classic Kaweco 060 nib and one built around the larger 250 nib. The pens are the same length, but the 250 pen is wider and has a shorter grip section to accommodate the larger nib.
